Every day millions of crimes committed go unreported in our country and in our county, even though there is a witness who is afraid to report it or just does not want to be involved. So who loses? We all do. A criminal commits a crime, gets away with it and is free to commit another crime. The victim loses material property or has injuries and no one is held accountable. A lot of citizens do not know how to report a crime: It’s simple — call 911, and the operator will direct you on what you need to do.
The poster lists several items that you should be aware of if you witness a crime. First, stay calm and report what you are seeing or saw. The items listed are key ingredients of what law enforcement is going to need to respond effectively. You can become involved and help your community by reporting crimes.
